EXALTARE / CUSTOMER CARE
Jewelry Care
A little regular care helps your Exaltare jewelry retain its finish and sparkle. Follow any piece-specific instructions supplied with your order.
Everyday wear
- Remove your jewelry before swimming, exercise, housework or activities that could catch, bend or strike the setting.
- Keep jewelry away from bleach, chlorine, household cleaners, perfumes and other harsh chemicals. Let lotions and sprays dry before putting jewelry on.
- Before wearing, check that earring backs and clasps are secure. If a stone, post, prong or clasp seems loose, stop wearing the piece and contact us.
Gentle cleaning
Use lukewarm water, a small amount of mild dish soap and a clean, very soft brush to gently remove residue. Rinse in a bowl or over a securely covered drain, then dry with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid scrubbing plated surfaces.
Do not use toothpaste, abrasive powders, harsh metal polish or household bleach. Do not use a home ultrasonic or steam cleaner unless a qualified jeweler has confirmed that it is appropriate for the complete piece and its setting.
Sterling silver and rhodium plating
For pieces described as rhodium-plated sterling silver, the rhodium is a surface finish over the silver. Gentle cleaning helps protect that finish. Avoid abrasive silver-polishing products unless a qualified jeweler confirms they are safe for the particular plated piece. Plating can gradually wear with use; contact us if you have a question about a change in appearance.
Storage and travel
Store clean, dry jewelry separately in a soft pouch or divided box to reduce scratches and tangling. Keep pairs of earrings and their backs together. Keep your order record and the IGI certificate supplied with your piece in a safe place.
